Podcast Recording Guidelines

Thank you for taking the time to complete our pre-interview questionnaire. It gives me a great starting point and helps me prepare for our conversation.

To ensure we capture the highest-quality recording possible, please review the following before your interview:

• Remember, this is a video podcast. In addition to the audio version, the interview will also be published on YouTube, so please choose a clean, uncluttered background and present yourself as you would for any professional video interview.

• Choose a quiet location. Please record in a space where you'll have minimal background noise or interruptions. Silence your phone and disable computer notifications if possible.

• Wear headphones or earbuds. This prevents audio echo and greatly improves sound quality for both of us.

• Use a computer if possible. A laptop or desktop typically provides a more stable connection and better audio and video quality than a phone or tablet.

• Check your internet connection. A strong Wi-Fi connection will help prevent freezes or audio dropouts.

• Position your camera at eye level. Good lighting (preferably natural light or a light in front of you) will make you look your best. Avoid sitting with a bright window directly behind you.

• Wear solid colors. Solid colors tend to look best on camera. If possible, avoid busy patterns, small stripes, or clothing with large logos.

• Join a few minutes early. Please log in 5–10 minutes before our scheduled time so we can test audio and video before we begin.

• Have a glass of water nearby. It's always helpful during a conversation.

• Relax and enjoy the conversation. This isn't meant to feel scripted. We'll simply have a conversation, and if we need to pause, restart an answer, or clarify something, that's completely normal.
