Podcast Recording Guidelines
Thank you for taking the time to complete our pre-interview questionnaire. It gives me a great starting point and helps me prepare for our conversation.
To ensure we capture the highest-quality recording possible, please review the following before your interview:
Remember, this is a video podcast. In addition to the audio version, the interview will also be published on YouTube, so please choose a clean, uncluttered background and present yourself as you would for any professional video interview.
Choose a quiet location. Please record in a space where you'll have minimal background noise or interruptions. Silence your phone and disable computer notifications if possible.
Wear headphones or earbuds. This prevents audio echo and greatly improves sound quality for both of us.
Use a computer if possible. A laptop or desktop typically provides a more stable connection and better audio and video quality than a phone or tablet.
Check your internet connection. A strong Wi-Fi connection will help prevent freezes or audio dropouts.
Position your camera at eye level. Good lighting (preferably natural light or a light in front of you) will make you look your best. Avoid sitting with a bright window directly behind you.
Wear solid colors. Solid colors tend to look best on camera. If possible, avoid busy patterns, small stripes, or clothing with large logos.
Join a few minutes early. Please log in 5–10 minutes before our scheduled time so we can test audio and video before we begin.
Have a glass of water nearby. It's always helpful during a conversation.
Relax and enjoy the conversation. This isn't meant to feel scripted. We'll simply have a conversation, and if we need to pause, restart an answer, or clarify something, that's completely normal.
I'm looking forward to our conversation and sharing your expertise with the Inside the Equestrian Property audience. Thank you for being a guest!
